Cast iron machining can create great challenges for coolant performance.  The fines from cast iron machining generate a sludge which can be difficult to clean, resulting in tool wear and suboptimal machining performance, short coolant life, and higher operating and maintenance costs.  The Mayfran MagSep^® magnetic separator system, combined with the media-free AT-Cleaner^® coolant cleaning system, helped this contract manufacturer significantly reduce the downtime and maintenance costs associated with their previous separator system, resulting in a rapid return on investment.
