The overhead pumpback system is ideal for confined areas where chip hoppers at individual machines is not practical, or where remote location chip collection would be more efficient.

Each machine in the system pumps both coolant and chips to a main separator/filter unit, the chips are removed before clean coolant is returned to the machines. Shredders must be added at those machines producing long stringy chips.
