Logistics Coordinator
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:
· Coordinates with transportation providers to arrange for the timely and cost-effective delivery of product.
· Establish and maintain the suppliers to ensure the most appropriate mode of transportation is selected, negotiating rates, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
· Assists with managing warehouse operations including warehouse inventory and scheduling transportation to and from warehouse.
· Assist in the processing of shipping documents, preparing invoices, and tracking shipments in coordination with the shipping department.
· Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including shipping documents, invoices, and warehouse inventory data.
· Analyze logistics processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to reduce cost and increase efficiency.
· Assists in coordinating trucks – Inbound and Outbound – Work directly with logistics company to determine shipping methods.
· Communicate with internal and external suppliers, customers, and transportation providers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
· Attend production meetings.
· Ensures compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience: 3-5 years’ minimum related experience and/or training in logistics or supply chain.
Computer Skills: MS Office, Epicor, Freight Management Systems
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to cold and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
